Summary of the role

Within the Navitaire team, the Associate Software Engineer is a member of the technical staff who is learning to master the Navitaire business and technical practice, and is becoming a hands-on developer who embraces and demonstrates best coding and design practices, optimizes the code base, and delivers projects on time in a team-based environment. The Navitiare team is in charge of improving the Navitaire Reservations products for customers worldwide. The team is working closely with our customers (Airlines) to ensure that our product meet their business needs. At a lower level, this team is development the web platform that supports the needs of our customers.

Main responsibilities

• Consistently deliver on time quality code with minimal errors using existing Amadeus standards and guidelines
• Think and code like a designer/architect
• Design, document, develop, implement and unit test software modules
• Debug existing code in response to Problem Tracking Records (PTR) and Change Requests (CR)
• Create and update standardized documentation
• Maintain timely reports on project status potential technical problems, and any other relevant details

Requirements

•BS in Computer Science or equivalent 4 year degree
• Development skills in C# and ASP.Net
• Solid understanding of design-patterns and object-oriented languages
• Programming experience with MVC is a plus
• Knowledge of travel industry is a plus
