Job description
We are looking for two enthusiastic and dedicated team players to join our high-performing Community Fundraising team as Community Fundraising Executives. Working closely with the Community Fundraising team, your support will be a vital contribution to the continued growth of the charity’s community fundraising income.
Your experience of delivering a high level of customer service is imperative as you will be a first line contact for many potentially high-value supporters, with responsibility for managing ARUK’s fundraising telephone line in addition to all contact received through our fundraising email accounts. You will have the opportunity to help deliver successful events, as well as ensuring our fundraising supporters are stewarded and thanked appropriately, and that all contact is accurately recorded on our database.
This role offers the opportunity to speak to a wide range of people, enabling you to build relationships with community fundraising supporters, contributing to the goal of maximising income and long term support with every supporter. You will also be able to work collaboratively across the charity, liaising with colleagues to maximise publicity, communicate fundraising stories and source the most appropriate representatives to speak at events.
Essential experience/knowledge/qualifications
- Good level of education, with grades A-C in GCSE or equivalent, in Maths and English
- Experience of supporting donors or working in another customer service role
- Confident working with computers - good knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and databases, ideally Raiser’s Edge
- Excellent, enthusiastic telephone manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A professional and hard-working team player
- Good organisational skills
- Flexibility to work occasional unsociable hours and willingness to travel independently
