HVAC Technician based at Abu Dhabi Airport

Position Summary

HVAC Technician is responsible for evaluating problematic systems and determining what repairs are required to be performed. Additionally, duties include implementing maintenance procedures. Significant experience in repair and maintenance is necessary for a HVAC Technician. Positions also may require a certification verifying a professional's knowledge, skills, and experience.

Essentiel duties and responsabilities


- Maintain PCA/AHU or any similar units in compliance with regulations.
- Carry out testing and inspection of PCA/AHU or any similar units.
- Support Operations and Maintenance Supervisor in Managing and Monitoring adverse weather/low visibility conditions as per standard operating procedure.
- Ensure workshop and infield maintenance activities are carried out as per OMM.
- Ensure corrective maintenance are carried out within SLA.
- Ensure all maintenance/troubleshooting are carried out as per OMM and industry best practices; engage and support Operations and Maintenance Supervisor at the event of critical failure as or when required.
- Coordinate with HSE officer and escalate the identified risk & hazard. Ensure the control measures are taken.
- Fill the daily logs, forms, checklist and records. Provide daily task report to Operations and Maintenance Supervisor.
- Ensure all the log and service request are registered in Maximo.
- Coordinate with stakeholder for approval of daily service activities.
- Receive material from ADAC store and Service Provider's supply chain.
- Read and interpret P&IDs, Drawings and Procedures.
- Assemble, modify and install refrigeration or air conditioning components such as motors, controls, gauges, valves, circulating pumps, condensers, humidifiers, evaporators and compressors using hand and power tools
- Measure and cut piping, and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment
- Troubleshoot and overhaul entire heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration and air conditioning systems
- Start-up system and test for leaks using testing devices
- Recharge system with refrigerant, check and test regulators, calibrate system and perform routine maintenance or servicing
- Efficient, quick troubleshooting and repairing of defective units
- Ensure closing of completed work orders with the Help Desk.
- Obtain materials in advance in anticipation of usual works ahead.
- Ensure all work orders are completed correctly with all sections completed.

- Technical knowledge on Air Handling Unit
- Technical knowledge on both mechanical and electrical components
- Technical knowledge on troubleshooting
- Computer literate
- Arabic language is mandatory

Hiring conditions :

- Salary : 7000 AED per month
- Work time organization : On shift duty (day or night)
- Transport allowance
