Job description

Altrincham Garrick is a community theatre in South Manchester. We produce up to 20 productions each season in our main theatre and studio. We have recently been joined by a Chief Executive/ Artistic Director of national significance.

We are looking for a dynamic Marketing Executive to join us in AUGUST. The purpose of the role is to develop and implement marketing plans promoting each production and the organisation as a whole to help us reach out to new audiences. The main goal is to maximise audience capacity at all our productions. A few examples of our diverse titles in our upcoming 2015/16 season are: Sunset Boulevard (Andrew Lloyd Webber); One Man, Two Guvnors (Richard Bean); To Kill a Mockingbird (Harper Lee/Chris Segal); Beautiful Thing (Johnathan Harvey); Blackadder the Third (Richard Curtis) & Noises Off (Michael Frayn)

Key Areas of responsibility:
• Working in conjunction with the Chief Executive/Artistic Director: to be solely responsible in creating and executing marketing plans and strategy for our upcoming season of plays, comedies, dramas and musicals .

• Execute and monitor promotional, marketing, public relations activity

• Create and execute external promotional communications

• To work, where appropriate with Directors, Cast and Creative Teams to exploit every promotional opportunity on each production

• To build productive relationships with local and regional media across all platforms

• To plan, execute and evaluate a programme of events to compliment and support the marketing plan

• To support work and help develop our website and social media plaforms.

• Support the audience reach work at the theatre

• Support the Chief Executive/Artistic Director where necessary
