Alstom in Germany is one of the major suppliers of German rail infrastructure. We are looking for a VIE as Logistic Coordinator (m/f) based in our project installation site in Hamburg / Germany for 24 months.

Your mission   :

Reporting to the Field Operation Manager, you manage the logistic activities on the installation site of the project ICE-1. You will assist our installation team in the upgrade of our customer’s trains with the Alstom ETCS system. Your mission is to coordinate the logistic activities from the reception of the material to its delivery to the field operation team, while keeping an accurate view on the material level to secure the installation of 1 train every week:

-Control, store and register the deliveries from the suppliers

-Trace and monitor the material flows on site

-Define and prepare the kits to allow and optimize the installation activities

-Define and coordinate the pre-kitting activities

-Manage the non-conformities

-Keep an accurate view on the storage level of the different categories of articles

-Weekly report with the supply chain in Belgium and Germany

-Support the field operation team during the installation and the entry in service

-Optimize the logistic processes

Your profile  :

Educated to Master Degree with a specialization in production, logistic or similar with a good industrial comprehension, you have a first experience preferably in an international industrial environment. You know the Lean philosophy, and have ideally an experience in a factory or in a wharehouse. You are interested in Railway products. Solution-oriented, your good communication skills, your tenacity and your team spirit enable you to be well integrated in an active environment. Your autonomy, your high sense of organization, your management skills as well as your practical skills are your key assets for this position.

Good language level of English & German is mandatory, French will be an asset

Excellent MS office skills required.

The VIE International Internship Program, established under French law by the Act of March 14, 2000 enables businesses to give 18- to 28-year-old candidates a temporary assignment of between six and 24 months in a foreign country . The assignment can be renewed once, but may not exceed two years in total.
