Purpose of the Job:
Carry out the test of trains in accordance with the testing procedure and as per the delivery schedule and/or contribute to test procedures and troubleshooting. Possibly manage test technicians. Ensure timely execution and respect of EHS requirements.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
• General responsibilities
· Respect and Promote strict compliance with EHS rules, local regulation and AZDP
· Deploy standard T&C processes
· Contribute to T&C management team
· Ensure management and coordination of a work team
· Ensure a good working relationship with the other departments (Eng, Industr, Q, Supply Chain)
· Provide technical support and expertise to serial testing team
· Engage actively in own abroad training (EU and Brazil)
· Contribute strongly to local recruitment and training of T&C team as well as to subsequent ramp-up
Serial Testing
· Manage serial testing team
· Ensure timely execution of serial testing and associated troubleshooting
· Lead troubleshooting
· Ensure delivery of proper documentation after test execution
EHS
· Ensure strict compliance with EHS rules and regulations within testing workshop and dynamic test track
• Train Manager/Driving
· Operates the train on the Test Track
· Ensure respect of EHS and Test Track safety Instructions
· Ensure the Safety of the Testing team and of the Train while operating on the Test Track
· Other job functions as required by management
Educational Requirements:
· MSc / BSc (Electrical)(Eng) / BEng (Electrical) / BTech (Electrical) or equivalent.
Desired Knowledge / Experience & Behaviour:
Experience:
Min 3 years’ experience in commissioning and testing of Electrical / Control / PLC systems within process industry, railways or factory automation.
Knowledge:
• Be familiar with high risk activities in association with Electrical work and EHS requirements
• Have a good understanding of key electrical and/or mechanical processes (in particular earthing & bonding, cabling, protection and instrumentation, …)
• A solid understanding of power electronics will be beneficial
• IT proficient
• Ability to read electrical schematics and to write application software (if required).

Job Mobility / Location:
· Woodmead, Wolmerton, 6-12months, thus final site (Ekurhuleni area)
· With an initial training period of several months abroad in Brazil and/or Europe
