Purpose of the Job

Prepare and execute Test & Commissioning Telecom activities for the project in support to the Project Commissioning Manager and the T&C Telecom Leader, ensuring application of the project’s strategy (including QCD commitment) and compliance with SIG strategy, policies, standards, local regulations and professional standards

Accountabilities

Responsibilities

·  To deliver Testing and Commissioning procedures , tools and facilities in accordance with customer acceptance criteria
·  Clear and Exhaustive understanding of the Customer Acceptance Criteria
·  Manage the development and supply of test procedures, facilities and tools for T&C execution
·  Ensure that test procedures and tools configuration are managed during the project lifecycle
·  Implement REX from Testing & Commissioning phase of the project
·  Implement and deploy methods and tools and best practices
·  Ensures T&C procedures comply with EHS Policy and Site EHS Management System
·  Perform system test activities such as breakdown tests, operational and system tests. Tests must be conducted in compliance with company standards, project requirements and the appropriate company test procedures.  Must maintain highest regard for safety, fail safeness, system reliability and system integrity
·  Identify operational and technical problems and assist in practical solutions and improvements to system design when appropriate
·  May be required to act as Lead T&C engineer in directing other test personnel
·  Daily routine of all technical aspects of equipment delivered to the field including testing, validation, commissioning and warranty activities at the site
·  Understand the architecture, functional design of the equipment and be able to read schematics and/or engineering drawings
·  Implement onsite technical troubleshooting and installation of hardware and software
·  Implement special test programs to validate new hardware and software improvements and releases
·  Assure the coordination of commissioning, test, troubleshooting, repairs, and warranty activities at site's
·  Generate site technical reports and ensure these are properly and timely communicated to all interested parties
·  Provide technical expertise support/training/technical guidance as necessary to customer service site staff

Candidate Requirements

Educational Requirements

·  University degree in Engineering
·  Profeciency level of written and spoken English

Technical Knowledge / Experience

·  Knowledge of Telecom Systems
·  Previous experience in testing activities
·  Competencies of Electronics, Computing
·  Working knowledge in Microsoft Office software
·  Working knowledge of signaling products

·  Proactive in order to promptly solve technical issues and anticipate all technical difficulties
·  Rigorous to perform T&C execution activities
·  Good relationship and reporting skills
·  Full movility at national and international level

·  Assignments often require work to be performed at odd hours and/or extended shifts.  Work schedules and hours change often.  Working holidays and weekends is not uncommon.  Work setting includes factory and field environments and work is to be performed in all weather conditions
