Purpose of the Job:

The T&C metro driver will be in charge to drive the rolling stock during the T&C phase in compliance with the safety policies and in compliance with the temporary operation procedures. The activity will be performed in depot and in the line under the responsibility of the train chief (T&C leader) and following the authorisation of the temporary operation line manager or its representatives.

The T&C metro driver shall ensure the safety of the passengers and all the staff inside the train. Including any person in the direct environment of the train (inside, but also outside the train).

Any movement of the train will be under his responsibility. He has the ability to reject any demand of any member of the staff incompatible with the safety: in any case of doubt , instruction should be provided by the OCC  

All the activities shall be performed in compliance with ALSTOM safety requirement without any derogation

Position in the Organisation

Organisational Reporting

Reports hierarchically to the line temporary operation Manager of the Project and to the line T&C manager functionally   

Network & Links

Internal (80%) : T&C Manager, temporary Operation Manager, System Engineers, Safety Engineer

External (20%) : Customer, Consortium Partners, Subcontractors, other Contractors in the Project

The temporary operation and EHS procedure shall be respected

In all its activity, the T&C metro driver shall ensure his safety and the safety of his team (that he drives): all activity which generates risk of unsafe situation shall be immediately stopped and reported: including the activities where his is not directly involved.

The  T&C metro driver shall Ensure :

·  The driving in nominal and in degraded mode the train in line and in the depot
·  The respect of EHS and temporary operation procedure.
·   To participate to the Tests according to test leader instruction as long as the activity is performed in safe situation and in compliance with temporary operation procedure and policies

As a specialist in his perimeter, a full support and training shall be provided of the new incomers’ onsite.

·  Control and drive the RST
·  Coupling /uncoupling RST
·  Application and respect of temporary operation procedures
·  Maintain and develop his own level of expertise
·  Support within team the line System T&C Manager project
·  Implement the processes, methods and tools corresponding to his activities
·  Execution of test leader instruction as long as the activity is performed in safe situation and in compliance with temporary operation procedure and policies
