Purpose

Purpose

The position consists in:

- managing all requirement management activities for a project which includes:

· Deployment and application of Alstom standard processes and tools

· RM tool set up according to project requirements

· Training and support on process and tool for the project team

· Owner of RM plan and RTM demonstrating the solution compliancy to contract requirements through requirement traceability along the project engineering cycle

· Process correspondent for Australia PO

- managing all configuration and change management activities for a project which includes:

· Deployment and application of Alstom standard processes and tool

· CM tool set up according to project requirements

· Training and support on process and tool for the project team

· Owner of CM plan

· Support project team in managing change requests

· Chair CCB

· Release management

· Process correspondent for Australia PO

Depending on the size and complexity of the projects, the requirement and configuration manager might support multiple projects at the same time.

Spot support to tenders is also expected.

· Hierarchal reporting: Engineering Director

· Functional reporting: Project Engineering Managers

Accountabilities

People : No direct report

Responsibilities

Responsibilities :

· Ensure application of ALSTOM standard Requirement and Configuration Management processes and tools
· Manage project requirements from Notice to Proceed to the Final Quality Approval.
· Manage configuration management from Notice to Proceed to the Final Quality Approval.
· Implement RM and CM tools in accordance to project needs and Alstom standards
· Be the Process Correspondent for Australia Project office within TIS organization
· Provide process and tool training to engineering staff of Australia Project office
· Provide project team members with proper and efficient support on tools and processes
· Ensure full project requirement traceability
· Own Requirement Management Plan and Requirement Traceability Matrix
· Report requirement traceability status and impact analysis to Project engineering manager
· Own project Configuration Management plan
· Organize and chair Configuration Control Board
· Manage changes and anomalies as per Alstom Standard
· Manage baselines and releases as per Alstom Standard
· Report progress as per KPIs

Rail Safety Worker

Rail safety work activities for this role:

· Work involving the development, management or monitoring of safe working systems for railways

Health Requirement

As part of being a Rail Safety Worker you will be required to pass the medical criteria determined for this role's health assessment.

Desired profile

Educational Requirements

Engineering Degree

Desired Knowledge / Experience

· Knowledge of Requirement Management Principles and processes preferably acquired on engineering projects

· Knowledge of REQTIFY, DOORS or similar Requirement Management tools

· Knowledge of Configuration and Change Management Principles and processes preferably acquired on engineering projects

· Knowledge of ADVITIUM, CLEARQUEST or similar Configuration and Change Management environments

· Rail signalling engineering
