Also, Alstom served the Egyptian Railways market through delivering Engineering, Power Supply, Construction, Maintenance and Trainings of Signaling, Centralized Control, and Infrastructure of railway projects such as, Giza-Beni Suef, Beni Suef-Assuit, and Cairo-Alexandria lines.

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

Follow and support subcontractors to ensure the implementation of the BSA project Quality Assurance & Control rules and procedures that comply with the Alstom Quality  processes and requirements, for all technical and operational matters and interfaces in connection with their scope of work.
The job consists of developing, supporting and following Quality rules and procedures to be implemented by Civil subcontractors to guarantee that the level of Quality of the works delivered by the subcontractors will be to the satisfaction of Alstom.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Follow, support subcontractors to obtain quality  documentation (Quality Plan, procedures, checklists, ...) complying with Alstom requirements.
- Review buildings method statements (MS), which established by subcontractor and ensure that MS complied with Alstom & customer requirements.
- Ensure that Quality control plan contains all tests, inspections, evidences required.
- Ensure that subcontractors perform tests and inspections according to the QC plan, ensure of correct filling of inspection sheets and availability of all laboratory testing certificates,
- Close quality follow-up for the site works.
- Conduct on site quality issues investigations and analysis when needed,
- Review handover file from subcontractor before submission to the Client.
- Prepare the pre-commissioning plan with lists of control sheets for every items, of documents to be provided to the Client before starting T&C like e.g. drawings, OEMs, supplier documentation).
- Ensure that mark-up of As-Build drawings is correctly done.
- Ensure that rules for changes during execution are well known and implemented
- Perform regular audits and follow resolution of actions in place.
- Manage all interfaces with the Client for all Quality issues, do regular visits on site.

Qualifications & Skills:

EDUCATION

Bachelor of engineering,

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE 

 Quality Engineer with Quality Assurance and Quality Control experience and driving Quality supervision and coordination with Civil Work sub-contractors.
3-6 years experience of implementation and follow-up of quality rules and procedures :
(i)  in subcontractors organizations carrying out civil engineering and construction works;
(ii) from notice to proceed of subcontract agreements till completion and handing over of the works to the Main Contractor;
(iii) both at subcontractors’ premises and at sites.
