Alstom develops  systems, equipment and services for the railway sector, from High-Speed Trains to Metros & Tramways – and associated maintenance, modernisation, infrastructure and signalling solutions. In Algeria we currently employ around 300 people over 6 project sites, and participate to the joint-venture Cital, for the assembly and maintenance of Citadis tramways located in Annaba.
Alstom has supplied integrated tramway systems to the cities of Algiers, Oran and Constantine and infrastructure for the tramways of Ouargla, Mostagamen and Setif undertaken by EMA.
Alstom is also supporting the development plan by SNTF ,which aims at increasing the number of passengers and freight transported by the railway. 

Role and Responsabilities:

Construction Cell shall coordinate with the following entities at Consortium Level to resolve site interface issues on day - to - day basis:

External Stakeholders:

- Local authorities for temporary traffic diversion;

- Utility services for network connection, as required;

Construction:

- Sub - systems construction sequencing and completion on time;

- Civil Works partners  for handovers and handback;

- Taking over temporary services and accesses;

- Systems Wide Contractors for installation sequencing;

- Monitor hand back and Hand over of work areas;

- When necessary, daily detailed program of works activities (day, time, location, actors, equipements used) over the following weeks;

- Ensure work areas availability;

- Follow up planning of works areas availability;

Project Supporting Functions :

- EHS onsite related safety issues; ensure fulfilement of requirements in term of EHS and security of third parties during work execution on site

- Security for protection of delivered equipement and material on site;

- Quality  for site compliance:

- Planning for day - to - day scheduling activities based project milestones as well,

- Supply chain: Consolidate information to ensure availability of all material, plant, equipments, tools and resources on site at the right time regarding work activities;

- Design : ensure availability of all required documentation for execution  

Reporting and communication:

- Daily Site Report: compilation of daily  Civil Works for submission;

- Site Visit Report when necessary;

- Minutes of Construction Related Meeting;

Educational Requirements:

Civil engineering / Electrical / Construction / Degree

Desired Knowledge / Experience

- Minimum 5 years, as site supervisor, in Civil & installation works.

- Validated experience in Civil construction Supervision.

- Leadership, initiative and decision minded

- Team spirit approach and good communication skills

- Mobility

Technical Skills & Competencies

- Good knowledge of the Civil Work execution, in terms of statement methods and Quality Requirements.

- Good knowledge of the other activities, upstream to Rail Works, Power Supply Works; SIG and SLT Works, such as civil works and electromechanical industrial equipment’s.

- Good understanding of design
