Job description
ATC is a joint venture between Alstom, TSO (Travaux Sud Ouest) and Costain. ATC is established in response to the growing demand for a single strong contracting entity capable of handling multi-disciplined and complex rail infrastructure projects. ATC is dedicated to delivering for the Crossrail C610 infrastructure project; supplying the track, overhead line, mechanical and electrical installations and logistic services for the central section of Crossrail.
With a Project office in Blackfriars, London and with works between Royal Oak, Pudding Mill Lane and Plumstead Portals there will also be a requirement for some roles to work on site.
Purpose of the role:
The Assistant Quality Manager (AQM) will be accountable for providing an independent view of ATC's legal and contractual compliance and product quality conformity to support the Electrification Team on all matters pertaining to Traction Power & OHLE.
Responsibilities
· Review subcontractor and supplier project-specific Quality Plans
· Verify traction power & OHLE ITP Schedule is maintained
· Review Traction power & OHLE ITPs prior to submission for acceptance liaising with the M&E package team
· Monitor and verify the production team quality control activities for Traction Power & OHLE systems in line with intervention points identified on ITPs
· Develop and maintain a site surveillance schedule to monitor installation activities
· Undertake audit to maintain the programme of quality audits on the project verifying compliance with legal and contractual requirements
· Ensure Traction power & OHLE Suppliers & Subcontractor QMS system is ISO9001:2008 & guidelines for quality plans ISO 10005:2005 or equivalent is compliant
· Identify & Assure Traction power & OHLE Supplier QA documents submission - Contractor Project Quality Plan, ITP, CoC, Sample & Benchmark, FAI, FATs, Prototypes, Method Statements etc
· Verify the M&E Material Proposal Schedule activities & Compliance Matrices
· Support with quality training for personnel for staff with specific quality responsibilities
· Support the installation teams in dealing rapidly and effectively with quality non-conformities and complaints identified
· Raise & report site non-conformity when identified and support the team to effective corrective, preventive actions & Root Cause Analysis in line with the NCR procedure
· Report and communication quality performance in meeting targets and continuous improvement
· Assist in the production of quality management system documents & records
· Deputising for the Quality Manager when required
· Maintain Client Liaison

Candidate Requirements
· Traction Power & OHLE qualifications & experience required
· Professionally qualified M&E engineer or recognised industry technical qualification relevant to the system specialisation
· Auditor/Lead Auditor Status
· QMS
· Root Cause Analysis/Lessons Learnt
· Experience in leading internal & external audits
· Experience in managing delivery of Subcontractors
· Experience in face-to-face client contact
· Good leadership, communication, negotiation, persuasion skills at all levels required
· Be pro-active with a hands on approach
· Strong Team Player
