Methods Engineer
Purpose of the Job
To Industrialize the manufacturing and maintenance of the product for Manufacturing, Repair centres and Depot Operations, taking into account existing standards & project constraints.
To create and update the industrial documentation necessary for all production & maintenance.
To participate to the validation of the production process and manufacturing line, as well as to the validation of the process and workstations for repair and overhauls.
To train the Industrial teams to the safe & efficient execution of production and maintenance activities.

Responsibilities
· To lead the industrialization of technical documentation, respecting the Standard Manufacturing Process & Standard Manufacturing Line guidelines: orient & validate the conception while taking into account the industrial constraints of the manufacturing and maintenance sites, in Concurrent Engineering with the design teams.
· Elaborate the industrial deliverables necessary to downstream activities: Macro-process, Work Instructions, pre-implantation of the workstations, Bill of Material, Task Sequence and/or Standard Operations Sheet, Work Instructions, Method times, definitive Layouts.
· Build and maintain up to date the Industrial ERP data, including the Bill of Material, the Process routings, the Configuration Management data, and the Manufacturing and Service Execution Systems, including data necessary for the MMIS.
· Elaborate the specification of requirements for the Industrial means necessary to the manufacturing and maintenance, in particular relating to needs relating to Infrastructure, Tools and Capex
· Implement the Project Make or Buy strategy in all deliverables
· Ensure S,Q,C,D, and Economic Development targets are reached on the attributed work package, by:
· An active participation to the optimization of the product / process and mastering the spent time
· Respecting the Industrial Planning milestones (followed by the IMFU)
· Implementing the Process FMEA and ensuring integration with the Quality Control Plan
· Taking into account return of experience, EHS & Lean Manufacturing standards in all activities
· Participating to the validation of first productions or maintenance locally (First Article Review, First Article Inspection, MaintenanceQualification)
· Ensure the smooth industrial transition by assisting any transfer of production until Serial Go
· Ensure line saturation & spent time targets of the production & maintenance workstations are achieved in line with Industrial requirements.
· Identify and propose necessary Changes to the Control Change Board, where appropriate, to reduce non quality or improve safety of operations.
· Contribute to the Control Change Board review, and implement Change Requests as decided, updating all industrial deliverables, and training workers to the implementation of these changes
· Ensure technical support to the workers in the production and maintenance activities
· Perform ergonomic quotations of workstations and activities, with the associated improvement action plan
· To propose new or improved ways or working that will enable the Industrial Teams to improve their efficiency or the safety of work to perform.
· To carry out such work in accordance with strict Health & Safety procedures as laid down by legislation and the Company Health & Safety policies.
· To undertake other duties as specified by the Methods Manager
· To adhere to Company procedures especially in relation to Quality and Health & Safety.
· To attend regular team briefings
· To read reports and manuals as and when required.
· To report accidents/incidents, and the work done to validate or maintain the tools.
· To drive company vehicles when required and applicable
· To train new members of the team

Educational Requirements
· Technical education
· IT literate ( Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· English fluency
Desired Knowledge / Experience
· Industrial background with 2 to 5 years’ experience preferably in the railway industry or
· Technical background with 2 to5 years’ experience preferably in the railway industry, ideally in an international organization
· Ability to read and understand schematics and drawings
· Technical experience of Methods Engineering, writing and improving manufacturing and/or maintenance work instructions, line balancing, Lean Manufacturing
· Experience in working with an ERP (such as SAP) for Bill of Materials, Routings, Configuration follow-up
· Working knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards and systems
