Job description
ALSTOM has an opening for an Industrialization Engineer in its Rochester, NY location. The Industrialization Engineer will support the Quality, Cost, Delivery and Safety of internal and external production, sourcing, supply chain, product and project teams by being the authority for assembly and test of products and projects, design for manufacturability, design for test and continuous improvement.
· Responsibilities:
· Train and audit Alstom Special Processes on-site include soldering, crimping and torquing; identify and implement logistic improvement including material handling and material flow for product and project activities
· Perfect the methods and manufacturing processess by optimizing the organization of the work, tolling and processes
· Support APSYS (Alstom Production System) best practices to drive continues improvement
· Conduct ergonomic assessments to support EHS initiatives
Desired profile
Educational Requirements :
Bachelor Degree required; Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing preferred
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience implementing improvement activities in a production setting; knowledgeable in DFM practices; comfortable working with cross-functional teams; able to lead training and process audit sessions on-site; able to identify and eliminate ergonomic and safety risks; understand best practices for material handling and packaging
