Alstom Transport is a global company with circa 6,500 Engineers worldwide, including 2,500 people across 20 sites in the UK.  We are currently responsible for the maintenance and overhaul of some of the most famous rolling stock in the UK.  One third of all UK rail journeys are made on an Alstom train and we have been recognised as a key player in the UK transport sector for almost a century.

With major decisions in the near future on new trains for London, further rail electrification schemes, new rolling stock and High Speed 2, Alstom has the firm ambition to once again be the leading player in the future transportation strategy for the UK.

To satisfy this aspiration we are looking to recruit competent, capable and driven graduates from all Engineering disciplines in to our Graduate Development Programme.

We are looking for individuals who support our philosophy of ‘Trust, Team, Action’ and who have a high degree of Technical Competence (Minimum Requirement BEng 2.1) along with a collaborative work ethic.

Design and work to new systems and processes for the introduction of new products or for the improvement of existing ones.

• Project manages the implementation of new products or processes ensuring process compliance to engineering/customer specification.

• Participate in Lean initiatives.

• Support day-to-day production activities.

• Examine and tender for new equipment to ensure correct specification to meeting production and process requirements at the best price.

Keep up to date with current and developing trends in the manufacturing industry, at a national and international level.
