OBJECTIVE OF THE MISSION :
The VIE will be part of the local technical team dedicated to the Alstom Kazakhstan (KZ8A / KZ4AT) Locomotives project. The VIE will provide engineering support in Kazakhstan to strengthen reliability growth and support the end of warranty period (specific warranty mostly on bogies) and solve support technical issues solving met during the commercial service of the Alstom Kazakhstan (KZ8A / KZ4AT) Locomotives.
This activity will be organized in close collaboration with:
- Validation team and Warranty team based in Kazakhstan, Services & Engineering teams in Kazakhstan.
- Engineering teams based in France.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Provide engineering support and ensure robustness of locomotives reliability growth
- Solve technical issues met on locomotives during the warranty period and boost closure of specific warranty points
- Demonstrate good working knowledge and experience with the use of computers, digital multi-meters, chart recorders, oscilloscopes, pneumatic/hydraulic gauges, mechanical measurement tools and various other tests equipment as required
- Be ready to test, make adjustments on, and troubleshoot the locomotives and/or its sub-systems
- Provide “Return of Experience – REX” and feedback of the locomotives operation by the customer to Belfort Engineering
- Proactively focus on the respect of safety rules
CANDIDATE'S PROFILE :
- University Degree in Engineering (general knowledge on mechanical, electrical, electro technical, automatic field)
- Fluent in spoken and written French and English (Russian is a plus – not mandatory)
- Strong interest with all aspects of railway rolling stock design, testing, reliability, maintainability
- Field oriented / Familiar with measurement procedure implementation
- Good technical common sense
- Ability to communicate easily with all his/her correspondents
- Autonomous
