• Conduct meetings with business users under supervision of senior analyst programmers to gather/validate requirements for integration solutions and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
• Ensure that adequate supporting documentation is prepared for integration components, including technical specifications, deployment guides, and operational runbooks, in line with Allianz requirements and standards.
• Ensure that time and effort is logged in appropriate systems as required to support accurate forecasting, sprint planning, and allocation of work within the team.
• Proactively identify security and operational risks in integration solutions through thorough analysis, unit testing, and implementation of secure design patterns including TLS/mTLS, OAuth2, and JWT.
• Undertake production support and maintenance activities for integration platforms such as IBM ACE, MQ, and DataPower, including monitoring, incident resolution, and performance tuning to ensure minimal disruption to business users.
• Identify opportunities to continually improve integration practices through automation, reusable components, and adoption of CI/CD pipelines that result in better efficiencies and end user experiences.
• Significant experience in programming and integration design using IBM ACE, MQ, and DataPower in a large complex IT landscape, including message flow development, queue configuration, and gateway services.
• Significant experience in development and support of enterprise-grade integration solutions, with adherence to structured (Agile or Waterfall) development processes and DevOps practices.
• Comprehensive knowledge of integration technologies including SOAP, REST, MQ, XML, JSON, Kafka, and API security protocols, along with hands-on experience in API management platforms such as Apigee or similar.
• Working knowledge of cloud technologies, preferably AWS, and experience deploying integration components in hybrid or cloud-native environments.
• Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing resources and demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with clarity, impact and influence across technical and business stakeholders.
• Highly developed 'first principles' problem-solving skills, combined with a curious and creative mind-set, and a strong focus on continuous learning and improvement.
