About the role  

• Lead and manage a claims team to deliver quality, timely settlement outcomes while meeting service, cost, and performance expectations.
• Oversee claims and settlement performance, including coaching staff, handling complex or escalated matters, and improving cost and quality outcomes.
• Manage day-to-day operations by allocating work, monitoring performance, maintaining quality standards, and identifying opportunities to improve how the team works.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, policies, health and safety requirements, and risk management processes, including identifying and escalating issues when required.
• Work closely with other leaders and stakeholders to support business plans, implement change, and promote a positive, accountable team culture.

About you

• Strong operational leader within a similar highly regulated environment and matrixed organization.
• Experience leading and coaching a skilled team, able to support people perform well and develop their skills.
• Proven experience identifying gaps in processes able to implement change strategies that translate into business improvement solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with confidence in using data to identify and understand issues and improve outcomes.
• Relevant recovery or settlements experience will be ideal. Alternatively, business or industry experience will be preferred.
• A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
