Job description
JOB PURPOSE/ROLE
Develops and uses actuarial models and reporting systems to prepare analyses that assist in the development of products, pricing strategies and risk mitigation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports completion of projects for actuarial functions including:
• Product development and pricing analyses
• Product management tools and studies
• Business and related forecasts
• Valuation, financial reporting and analyses
Assist in preparation of financial reports, memorandums and other required actuarial supporting analyses including:
• New product and filings and rollouts
• Product management actions
• Requests from external auditors, state regulators and rating agencies
• Parent company requests and requirements
• Perform experience studies and assist in development of pricing, projection or valuation assumptions
Communicates actuarial results to cross-functional areas including:
• Business unit and other Support unit personnel
• Other actuaries
Assist, performs or reviews actuarial research
Assist with training and direction of other entry-level actuaries
KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Experience:
2-3 years experience required: Actuarial field
Completion of 3-4 SOA Exams
Education
Four-year degree required: Actuarial science, math, physics, economics, engineering, or related field
