In the IT area for insurance technology, we develop the computing cores for modern insurance products in close cooperation with colleagues from the Allianz Deutschland Group. The calculation cores are the technological basis for controlling the underwriting processes during the life cycle of a contract - from application to contract adjustment to claims payment.

 

What you do

 

  • Use programming languages such as C/C++ and in some cases Java, as well as many other standard tools.
  • Co-design, take responsibility and participate within an agile team that makes iterative learning a priority.
  • Further develop our calculation kernels and accounting systems.
  • Design and implement high-quality software solutions using your expertise in  application development 
  • Collaborate within agile teams, adapt to dynamic work environments and focus on delivering business value through large-scale applications, particularly in insurance use-cases.
  • Your strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities will drive project success.

 

What you bring

 

  • Completed studies in computer science, mathematics, or comparable knowledge, with proficiency in application development using C/C++ under MS Visual Studio and relational databases with SQL.
  • Familiarity with test systems for web applications and desirable experience with Java, Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, Jenkins, Git, GitHub, and AWS cloud services.
  • Strong analytical skills to quickly grasp, analyze and precisely formulate complex issues, paired with a strong solution orientation.
  • Excellent teamwork and social skills, with good personal presentation, especially in client interactions.
  • Very good written and spoken German language skills (at least B2 level).
  • Experience with programming and IDEs such as C/C++ (Visual Studio) and Java (Eclipse) and version control and CI/CD tools like Git, GitHub, and Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of operating systems and databases, including Windows, Linux, MS SQL Server, and PostgreSQL, as well as containerization and cloud technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS (EKS, RDS)
