About the role
The purpose of this role is to provide senior specialist expertise to the Cyber Governance function, ensuring Allianz Australia operates confidently within agreed cyber risk appetite levels. It oversees and governs activities to identify and mitigate cyber risks from agencies and third parties within these limits.
- Establish and maintain an effective Cyber Governance Program, including policies, standards, and frameworks, to manage cyber risks within approved appetite and ensure compliance with CPS 234, APRA regulations, and Allianz Group Security Standards.
- Oversee AAL’s cyber risks, controls, and issues, providing recommendations to reduce risk exposure and enable informed decision-making.
- Develop and deliver dashboards, reports, and analysis for Management and Board, detailing compliance, maturity, and metrics aligned with the Cyber Strategy.
- Act as a key liaison for internal teams, external suppliers, and agencies, ensuring effective collaboration and resolution of cyber-related matters.
- Collaborate with the Global Cyber Security community, IT, and Security Operations teams to drive the Cyber Strategy and foster a centre of excellence for cyber governance.
- Identify and assess cyber risks impacting AAL, acting as an SME and thought leader across the Group to enhance resilience and assurance.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in business, IT, security, or related fields, with certifications like CISSP, CISM, TOGAF, or CCSP highly desirable.
- Extensive experience in Assurance, Risk Management, or Cyber Security roles within insurance or financial services.
- Strong expertise in governance, assurance, cyber risk management, and risk analysis methodologies.
- Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders, build professional relationships, and align IT and business strategies.
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret data, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, including technical writing, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences effectively.
