We are looking for a Senior IT Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Specialist, to be based in our Munich Unterföhring office for a 12-month period starting soon or in January 2026. 

 

If you have experience in audit and/or IT control testing, are quick-minded and solutions-focussed and able to start soon in a 12-month role in Munich, this could be your exciting next step in IT Governance, Risk and Compliance. 

 

Your Team 

The IT GRC Team is committed to ensure IT compliance at AGCS to corporate rules as well as external regulations. To achieve this we work with transparency, efficiency and precision to monitor regulatory requirements, manage IT risks and drive the adoption of the IT Operating Model and control framework from the Allianz Group.  

As an international team based in Munich and North America, we are collaborative and cooperative, working closely with stakeholders both inside and outside the company, aiming to foster a culture of risk awareness within the Allianz Commercial IT organization.  

 

The Impact You Will Have 

Reporting into the Head of Global IT GRC your experience and expertise will help you lead the coordination of annual external as well as internal IT audits, and for supporting our IT internal control testing.  

 

Some of your specific responsibilities could include: 

  • Manage the annual external audit (financial statement-based) with external auditors for European and global processes 

  • Work directly with internal and external auditors to facilitate and manage the review process 

  • Ensure audit evidence is delivered on time and at the highest level of quality  

  • Drive documentation and communication of the AGCS IT Controls Framework with Risk Management 

  • Conduct the annual internal control testing and review, overseeing the remediation of control deficiencies 

  • Maintain a repository of evidence requested, collected, and submitted to auditors 

  • Work with IT Management, IT Staff and Allianz Technology on project activities  

  • Examine external regulations, including mapping of regulations to COBIT 2019 and Group requirements 

  • Conduct gap analysis, define remediation plans, and report to IT Management 

 

What You’ll Bring to the Role 

With further education in IT / Business Administration / Audit, you have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in audit and/or IT controls, you are available quickly in Munich for a 12-month contract and bring: 

  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external auditors 

  • A good understanding of IT GRC and the background for internal controls 

  • Proven ability to learn new methodologies and processes with efficiency 

  • Hands-on solution-oriented mentality 

  • Ideally you have experience and performing internal IT testing 

  • Able to articulate technical risks in business terms 

  • Advanced ability to review evidence and deliver evidence on quality and on time to auditors 

  • A willingness to learn and explore how AI can enhance your role and the broader organization 

  • Fluent English is essential  (fluency in German could be an advantage)
