We are looking for a (Senior) Claims Specialist Aviation (m/f/d), based in Munich, Germany. 

  

Your Team  

As a key strategic player in the Allianz Group network, Allianz Commercial is present in over 200 countries and in 2022 generated more than €19 billion gross premium.  

Allianz is committed to delivering on our claims promise.  To achieve that mission, you will be working together with 22 experienced claims handlers based in Munich and Zürich (Switzerland) and join a network of more than 650 claims experts around the world. 

 

The Impact You Will Have   

Reporting to the Head of Claims Aviation, you will be delivering effective and efficient claims handling across the lines of business in scope. Your responsibilities will include creating and maintaining peer level relationships with brokers, collaborating with other departments to ensure accurate claims administration, and completing general claims administration tasks as required. You will manage a portfolio of clients and be the main entry point for all their claims.  

 

Some of your specific responsibilities could include: 

· 
H Handle from cradle to grave both German and international claims that can involve complex issues and/or litigation 

· 
Input, process and maintain accurate claims records (e.g., reserves, payments) for designated accounts  

· 
Produce management information reports (e.g., monthly major claims movements)  

· 
Prepare referral documentation and materials as appropriate  

· 
Report loss information internally and externally  

· 
Work with other teams during the Claims handling process, such as Field Adjusters, Underwriting and Operations, as well as with colleagues in our offices abroad   

· 
Participate in IT/digital projects to share your technical insights, e.g., as a Subject Matter Expert 

 

What You’ll Bring to the Role 

· 
Experience in Insurance, preferably in Claims or in an Underwriting or other relevant background 

· 
A good understanding of coverage principles  

· 
Understanding of relevant legal framework, processes, guidelines, and litigation management  

· 
Knowledge of reserving principles and practices  

· 
Specialized understanding and experience of aviation coverages and portfolio are an advantage 

· 
Highly organized, able to prioritize and work to deadlines  

· 
Positive team spirit and an excitement to learn  

· 
At ease in Microsoft 365, especially Excel, and experience using a Claims digital solution 

· 
A very good command of English and German is a condition
