We are looking for a Sector Advisor within our Economic Research department

 

As a Sector Advisor within our Economic Research department, you are in charge of monitoring the business environment to assess and monitor sector risks, and to develop in depth analyzes on sectors including key crosscutting themes such as SMEs, ESG and digitalization both for internal (strategic, commercial and risk decisions) and external (brand awareness) purposes.

 
Key responsibilities / What you do

·  Ensure thorough monitoring of industry trends to (i) complete the macro and market monitoring and analysis and (ii) better inform commercial and risk decisions (maintain database, update forecasts, follow panels and respond to queries from operations)
·  Deliver quality knowledge products on industry developments, sector risks and companies-related topics (such as insolvencies, DSO, credit ratings, earning seasons, equity performance, M&A) to leverage Allianz Trade’s outreach (write analytical reports and make presentations to clients, prospects and the media)
·  Conducting ad-hoc researches, setting up new indicators, setting-up new database, leveraging our proprietary databases and developing new tools 
·  Develop research on SMEs and ESG through reports, monitoring dashboard etc.

 

Key requirements / What you bring

 

·  Knowledge in micro-economy/corporate finance/statistics and an interest for macroeconomics 
·  Previous experience in financial analysis or research
·  Writing skills
·  Additional knowledge in macro economy is an advantage
·  Ability to work in an international environment
·  Very good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
·  Experience with financial data providers (Refinitiv Eikon, Bloomberg) 
·  Skills in econometrics/data science and programming in Python is a plus
