AllianzGI has a strong commitment to being a market leader and influencer in sustainable investing. To support this objective Allianz Global Investors is recruiting a Research and Stewardship Analyst (temporary position). This position is based in Paris.

 

You will focus primarily on governance research and engagement with companies and proxy voting in Europe. It will also encompass some thematic sustainability research activities to support our social engagement efforts. You will join the Stewardship Team and closely with portfolio managers predominantly in AllianzGI’s European locations.

 

This role will be offered as a 6-month fixed term contract commencing March 2025.

 

What you will do

 

·  Undertake analysis of shareholder meeting proposals and provide proxy voting recommendations to the investment platform
·  Contribute to the development of AllianzGI’s corporate governance policies
·  Lead governance and thematic engagements on social matters in Europe and support engagement by AllianzGI’s investment professionals
·  Undertake thematic sustainability research for equities and fixed income, in particular to prepare thematic engagements on human and labour rights topics

 

What you bring

 

·  BA or Master in Finance or Economics
·  Excellent knowledge and 1+ years of experience of thematic research around environmental, social and governance topics.
·  Engagement skills and experience of engagement with companies at board or senior management levels
·  Good knowledge of corporate governance
·  Strong written and spoken English
·  Excellent communication and presentation skills, clear articulation of ideas and concepts
·  Ability to build and maintain successful working relationships with colleagues globally and with external parties
·  Good team player
·  Experienced / Proficiency with Microsoft Office
·  Experience of the investment management industry
