About the Job 

 

Allianz Technology provides a complete competitive insurance industry solution for the end-to-end management of the group life business in Switzerland, through the IT Service Offering. This means it includes all parts of the insurance value chain from presales / sales through to after sales, including financial management of the subledger and the common administration services.

 

What you do

 

  • Analyze and assess software development tasks and requirements according to project specifications, and prepare effort estimations.
  • Implement/model software requirements based on requirements analysis and specifications in the KLS (Group Life System).
  • Implement/model interfaces according to requirement specifications and overall architectural guidelines.
  • Implement/model unit tests for the implemented requirement solutions in accordance with application development specifications and standards.
  • Provide clear, accurate and thorough documentation of implemented software requirements as well as correcting errors in source code or models, implemented requirement solutions and associated documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with local solution designers, product owners, and business staff.
  • Work independently, seriously and disciplined, writing clean code (e.g., adhering to rules and guidelines) and enjoy working with colleagues in an agile environment.

 

What you bring

 

  • Willingness to develop knowledge about the Allianz Suisse-specific group life model and its modeling foundation; experience in group life insurance business is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Java and unit testing.
  • Experience in implementing modern software architectures with a central service layer and working with complex distributed system landscapes.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and experience with DevOps practices and tools, including GitHub, Jenkins, and Docker.
  • Ability to work independently with high motivation, interpreting requirements, asking the right questions, and carrying out implementations independently.
  • Precise, reliable, and persistent, taking responsibility for implementations, prioritizing team success over personal success, and effectively communicating and contributing to the team.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in software design, requirements analysis, and effort estimation, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
