About the Role:
Join our dynamic team as an IT Product Owner within the Allianz Retail Global Services department Core Tribe. This position is critical to ensuring smooth, timely, and high-quality software development delivery across our global retail platform. As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for maximizing the customer’s value of the product resulting from the work of the team, aligning closely with stakeholders across multiple hierarchical levels to define and prioritize the product backlog.
What You Do:
- Define, prioritize, and manage the product backlog to maximize value delivery for the Core Tribe’s retail solutions, ensuring alignment with the product vision and goals.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, and other tribes to ensure a clear understanding of product vision and requirements.
- Translate business needs into well-defined user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications, ensuring alignment with global Retail Platform strategy and architectural guidelines.
- Lead sprint planning and backlog refinement sessions, ensuring the team is prepared with clear, actionable items.
- Monitor product delivery performance and proactively resolve impediments affecting the development cycle.
- Validate and accept deliverables, ensuring they meet quality standards and business expectations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across processes, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
- Manage cross-tribe dependencies and coordinate with global teams to ensure cohesive end-to-end delivery.
- Support change management activities, including training materials, user communication, and rollout planning.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; Master’s is a plus.
- Proven experience (3–5+ years) as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role within software development environments.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe), with certification preferred (CSPO, PSPO, SAFe PO/PM).
- Experience working in complex international environments, preferably within financial services or insurance.
- Solid understanding of backend and frontend components, APIs, data flows, and system integrations.
- Ability to convert business needs into clear, structured requirements and user stories.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders across multiple countries and domains.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and a proactive mindset toward delivery and quality.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (such as Spanish or German) are an advantage.
