Job role

The InnovateX Developer is responsible for designing, building, and enhancing digital solutions that power the InnovateX platform and its related services. This role focuses on developing and maintaining applications within Microsoft Power Apps, automating workflows through Power Automate, and creating insightful Power BI dashboards that support reporting, decision-making, and operational excellence across InnovateX and CI&I initiatives.

 

What will you do

  • Power Apps Development
    • Design, build, and maintain custom Power Apps used within the InnovateX ecosystem (e.g., Ideation Platform modules, approval workflows, Open Ecosystem components).
    • Enhance existing applications by improving UI/UX, performance, reliability, and scalability.
    • Implement new features based on business needs, such as automation ideas, marketplace modules, submission forms, and productivity tools.
  • Power BI Reporting & Analytics
    • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards that provide visibility into idea pipelines, productivity metrics, CI&I reporting, and platform performance.
    • Ensure data accuracy, refresh schedules, and alignment with global reporting standards.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate reporting needs into actionable visual insights.
  • Workflow Automation & Integration
    • Build and optimize Power Automate flows that support notifications, approvals, data movement, and process automation.
    • Integrate Power Apps, SharePoint, Dataverse, and other Microsoft services into a cohesive platform experience.
    • Maintain adherence to governance guidelines, data security, and environment best practices.
  • Platform Maintenance & Continuous Improvement
    • Support upgrades, bug fixes, and technical improvements to existing InnovateX tools.
    • Troubleshoot platform issues, provide quick resolutions, and ensure stable operation across environments.
    • Monitor platform usage and propose enhancements to boost efficiency and user satisfaction.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with CI&I, Business Transformation, SDLs, program managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements.
    • Participate in refinement sessions, demos, and workshops to gather feedback and co‑create solutions.
    • Provide technical guidance on best practices for low‑code/no‑code development.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
    • Create and maintain technical documentation for apps, flows, data schemas, and deployment steps.
    • Contribute to InnovateX Learning materials (e.g., SOP updates, guidelines, user instructions).
    • Support colleagues through training, demos, and platform onboarding sessions.
  • Innovation & Platform Evolution
    • Identify opportunities for further automation, simplification, or digitization of processes.
    • Experiment with new Power Platform capabilities (e.g., AI Builder, Copilot Studio) and propose innovative solutions.
    • Contribute to shaping the next evolutions of the InnovateX Platform and CI&I framework.

 

What you bring

 

  • Power Apps & Automation Mastery
    • Built multiple enterprise‑grade Power Apps (canvas and/or model‑driven) that handle ideation intake, approvals, and Open Ecosystem–style workflows; comfortable extending forms, rules, and complex UX for high adoption.
    • Proven track record implementing approval workflows and notifications with Power Automate, including exception paths and owner escalations; can demonstrate an approval solution end‑to‑end from the InnovateX MVP scope.
  • Power BI at Scale
    • Designed robust semantic models (star schema), DAX measures, Power Query transformations, RLS, incremental refresh, and performance tuning for enterprise dashboards.
    • Experience connecting reporting to Ideation / CI&I data and operational sources (e.g., SharePoint/Dataverse) to provide live views of pipeline, impact, and benefits.
    • Hands‑on with Power BI Premium capacity patterns (dataset governance, workspace strategy, audience‑based sharing) and scenarios where consumers view reports without individual Pro licenses.
  • Governance, Security & Tenant‑Scale Operations
    • Operates confidently within a regulated Power Platform tenant: understands DLP policies, connector allow/deny lists, environment strategy, and resource sharing responsibilities.
    • Can explain how design choices (e.g., Dataverse vs. SharePoint, premium features, custom connectors) relate to company security standards and CoE guardrails.
  • Integration & Data Readiness
    • Integrated Power Apps/Automate with SharePoint, Dataverse, and other Microsoft 365 services; comfortable shaping ingestion pipelines to unify data from multiple regions/locations before publishing to BI.
  • ALM & DevOps for Power Platform
    • Experienced with Solutions, pipelines, and source control (e.g., Azure DevOps/Git) for versioning Power Apps/Automate assets; familiar with environment‑based deployment, parameterization, and rollback strategies would be nice to have.
  • Delivery at Scale & Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Has delivered products inside a standardized innovation/governance framework, collaborating with business stakeholders to move from intake → prioritization → approval → reporting.
    • Comfortable being part of a squad that orchestrates innovation services across functions and locations; can show outcomes from multi‑team delivery.
  • Evidence & Qualifications
    • Portfolio with 2–3 representative solutions: (a) a complex Power App with approval/automation, (b) a Premium‑backed Power BI product with RLS & incremental refresh, (c) an integration case unifying multi‑country data. (General expectation).
    • Relevant certifications are a plus: PL‑400 (Developer), PL‑300 (Power BI), PL‑600 (Solution Architect).
  • Nice‑to‑Haves
    • Familiarity with Copilot Studio / Agents embedded from Power Apps, and staying current with Power Apps AI‑native experiences.
  • We highly welcome candidates with a genuine interest and affinity for Information Technology (IT) and Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), as these attributes are considered valuable assets to our team.

 

 

You have

 

  • Advanced Power Apps expertise (canvas & model‑driven), including complex logic, component reuse, governance‑aligned development, and scalable UX design.
  • Strong Power BI proficiency, covering data modeling, DAX, data transformation, RLS, performance tuning, and building enterprise‑ready dashboards.
  • Hands‑on experience with Power Automate, building robust approval workflows, automation chains, integrations across M365, and error‑handling logic.
  • Solid understanding of Power Platform governance (DLP policies, environment strategy, data security, ALM, CoE best practices).
  • Integration skills across Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Dataverse, Teams) with the ability to design end‑to‑end data flows and reporting pipelines.
  • Stakeholder collaboration & product mindset, able to translate business needs into technical solutions, run demos, gather feedback, and iterate quickly.
