Job purpose/role

The AIM Life/Health Germany team in Stuttgart develops and implements the investment strategy for Allianz's German life and health insurance companies. We are looking for a Developer to join our Digital Solution team, driving the development of our quantitative portfolio steering platform. Embedded within a cross-functional department, you will implement cloud applications for every step along the investment value chain. This is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in advanced analytics, computer science, and modern technologies to the management of our EUR 300bn+ investment portfolios.

Key responsibilities

Design and develop applications for portfolio analytics and steering
Create innovative data solutions to enhance analytical capabilities
Use your expertise in data analytics to solve complex, data-driven inquiries related to our investment portfolio
Present your projects to AIM management
Contribute to the Allianz digital community with focus on knowledge and best practice sharing across hubs and teams

Key requirements/skills/experience

Master's degree in computer science, data engineering, (financial) mathematics or other quantitative areas
3-5 years of work experience
Programming skills in languages like Python, Java, C#, TypeScript, Rust or C++
Familiarity with frontend development, especially using frameworks like Angular or React
Proficient in Docker; familiar with Kubernetes
Experience with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS is beneficial
Interest in the financial sector and investment management business
Team player, proactive, ready to take responsibility and drive digital transformation
