Data Scientist / Pricing Actuary - P&C

Job description
Job Purpose
The job holder will develop risk / demand models using state-of-the-art data analysis and modelling methods and innovative concepts (e.g. Machine Learning). Additionally, this person will be supporting other initiatives/projects of the department in alignment to the Group guidelines related to Technical Excellence. The role reports to the P&C Pricing Supervisor.
What you will do
· Development and implementation of state-of-the-art algorithms in the domains of statistical modeling, machine learning, and artificial intelligence
· Perform technical price reviews, including risk and demand models, identifying market segment opportunities as part of the review process
· Work closely with Sales, Underwriting, Actuarial and Claims Departments for developing new products or enhance existing ones
· Development and maintenance of Rating tools
· Support the Portfolio Management process
· Work towards implementation of Technical Excellence through the implementation of Allianz Group methodologies
What you bring
(Must have)
· Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or Engineering
· Minimum 3 years of experience to same or other similar business function
· Proven knowledge of statistical and data science techniques, such as Generalized Linear Models
· Excellent MS office skills are a must
· Good knowledge of R, Python ,SAS and SQL are key pre-requisites
· Project and time management skills
· Excellent communication skills
· Knowledge of Actuarial Pricing softwires such as Emblem, Radar including Radar Live
· Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
(Nice to have)
· Master’s degree will be considered an asset (Actuarial Science, Data Science, Econometrics etc.)
· Actuarial certification in progress with actuarial exams of Hellenic or other society of actuaries
· Knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance products
· Knowledge of BI tools such as Power BI
