Job description

The Prevention & Advisory Manager reports to the Senior Prevention & Advisory Manager, supporting the global compliance Prevention and Advisory activities across the Allianz Trade Group and Euler Hermes SA trading as Allianz Trade. 

This position is based in Paris, other locations in Europe can be discussed

 

Key Responsibilities / What you do  :

 

·  Compliance framework: supporting the ongoing development and integration of compliance areas for:

1) Regulatory Compliance: horizontal and vertical oversight, communicating and providing training to the Regional Compliance Officers in relation to the new Regulatory Compliance Tool due to be available at the end of Q1 2024, and conduct ongoing monitoring of the effectiveness at Regional and Local levels by both Compliance and the 1st line functions 
2) Ensure that the Anti Financial Crime, Customer Protection, and Market Integrity Standards and Functional Rules (as applicable) are fully implemented in all Allianz Trade regions, and create effective knowledge and awareness in the Allianz Trade Group Functions, including Group Commercial. Support the role of Anti-Fraud Coordinator as documented in the Anti Financial Crime Functional Rule
3) Fitness & Probity: support the ongoing compliance with the regulatory and Allianz Trade Group requirements relating to Fitness and Probity 
4) Support other relevant areas (e.g. ESG, Tax, HR, IT)

 

·  Definition and update of core internal standards, functional rules 

 

1) Support the Senior Prevention & Advisory Manager in tracking changes in Allianz group requirements and relevant international laws and regulations
2) Support alignment with Allianz Trade Group relevant functions 
3) Develop global roll-out packages for implementation of new requirements

 

·  Regulatory Compliance: tracking of new regulatory developments (laws, regulations, circulars)

 

1) Support regulatory framework definition and analysis including the horizontal and vertical oversight requirements 
2) Track changes in EU and Belgian requirements 
3) Global monitoring of changes in local requirements  
4) Evaluation from a risk & control perspective
5) Liaison with Allianz Trade Group key functions 
6) Internal standards definition
7) Regulation process: allocation of 1st line of defence responsibilities, implementation streams and owners, including follow-up.

 

All deliverables will be in English.

 

Key Requirements / What you bring

 

·  Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the financial sector in a compliance function or in regulatory enforcement;
·  Good understanding of the insurance business, and ideally of Allianz Trade/credit insurance;
·  It is essential to have an appreciation of the risks and controls applicable; 
·  Client service mentality, quality-focused and results-oriented;
·  Ability to work well independently, producing coherent decisions / results and ability to work with virtual teams;
·  Ability to communicate effectively, in writing and verbally, and ability to function as part as a team;
·  Strong organizational skills, agility and ability to prioritize;
·  Fluency in English (oral and written);
·  Rigor and methodology as well as a pragmatic approach for applying concepts; 
·  Leadership skills and the ability to be effective when working remotely; 
·  Degree in business, economics or law; 
·  Completion of training for professional development; 
·  Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to comfortably interact with people at all levels of the organization, including executive management, and in an international environment; 
·  Diplomatic sensitivity and ability to manage multiple stakeholders; 
·  Project management skills and ability to coordinate a number of projects in parallel; 
·  High level of integrity; 
·  Experience in managing change and promoting innovation with a hands-on mentality.
