About the Job 

As a Backend Software Developer, you will be responsible for planning, developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions for the "Tribe Kranken Leistung" within the agile "Digital Health Solutions" team. You will oversee the technical design and application development, ensuring the software is thoroughly tested and meets quality standards. Additionally, you will provide support and consultation during the concept phase of application planning, contributing your expertise to shape innovative and effective digital health solutions.

What you do

  • Evaluate functional and technical requirements for feasibility and translate them into technical software designs.
  • Design, test, debug, document, and implement software components, including third-party and operating system-related applications.
  • Ensure the solution meets non-functional requirements such as performance, data protection, IT security, and usability.
  • Maintain the future sustainability of systems while considering the technical and functional environment during software development.
  • Collaborate in agile teams and apply software engineering techniques and methods.
  • Develop backend applications using Java and common cloud frameworks.
  • Implement best practices for Allianz Private Health Insurance (APKV) customers in prevention, health services, and digital services (e.g., electronic patient file, eBilling), primarily remotely.
  • Engage in modern Java-based development using Spring microservices and web APIs.

What you bring

  • Strong expertise in FCP AWS, including Kubernetes, cluster management, and Infrastructure as Code with ArgoCD
  • Proficiency in CI/CD Pipelining using GitHub, Jenkins, Dockerfiles, and Helm Charts
  • Experience with application metrics and monitoring using Prometheus, Thanos, and Grafana
  • Expert knowledge in Java, SpringBoot, and SpringIntegration frameworks
  • Proficient in REST and SOAP Webservices, with advanced expertise in MongoDB and understanding of document-based databases
  • Good understanding of messaging systems like Kafka and Websphere MQ
  • Basic knowledge of Dynatrace and proficiency in documentation tools such as Confluence and Jira
  • Expertise in demand, configuration, release, deployment, and test management, with a degree in business informatics, mathematics, or equivalent knowledge
  • Language skills: English at C1 level and German at B1 level
