Role Summary

The Associate assists Origination Manager and Senior Origination Manager in the analysis, underwriting and closing of mandate-compliant lending transactions for our investors. With growing transaction experience continuously expand area of responsibility and start acquiring own client relationships and network. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial and cash flow modeling to assess and quantify the risk principles associated with new real estate financing opportunities
  • Use internal models to assess loan ratings
  • Prepare committee documents and participate in debt investment committee
  • Draft appropriately structured term sheets and partially negotiate with borrowers
  • Work with internal and external legal advisors to partially negotiate legal documentation
  • Carry out legal and tax real estate due diligence with internal experts & external advisors
  • Supports smooth handover to loan management team            

           

Key Requirements

  • 2-4 year-experience in lending  or structured financing
  • Advanced graduate degree in Real Estate, Management, Finance, Economics or similar qualifications CFA or RICS is a plus
  • Excellent modelling skills on Excel
  • Fluent in English, an additional European language is a plus
  • Background in lending activity or financing
  • Curiosity, reactivity and communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite; highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience with Argus Enterprise is a plus
  • Knowledge of the relevant property market
  • Good negotiation and commercial skills
  • Experience in an international and multicultural business environment
  • Ability to navigate across different projects and departments and to work with a wide variety of different people in the organization
  • Hands-on-mentality and persistence to carry out projects and tasks
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Communication & presentation abilities
