What you do:
We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to join our Fund Services team within Allianz Investment Management LLC to support the daily operations of our Mutual Fund and ETF businesses. Fund Services is a growing team that manages daily middle and back-office functions and looks to identify areas for improvement. You will collaborate with internal (portfolio management, trading, capital markets, product development, legal and compliance) and external (fund administrators, transfer agents, custodians, exchanges, and data providers) business partners. You will work in a dynamic environment and build efficient operations solutions. You will report to the AIM VP - Fund Management.
- Implement a comprehensive risk-focused oversight model that encompasses all facets of the Funds’ and ETFs’ operations, including custody, accounting, valuation, and financial reporting.
- Collaborate and assist with technology improvements, process improvements and project implementations, and maintenance of in-house applications designed to enhance operations related to the Mutual Fund/ETF platform.
- Accountable for helping to translate business related needs into technical solutions.
- Implementing daily business-as-usual processes, promptly resolving all issues that arise, and escalating errors and breaches.
- Contribute to important fund-related projects, including new product launches, fund mergers or liquidations, onboarding new third-party partners, and changes to regulatory rules. Participate in the planning, coordination, and execution of these projects to ensure compliant and successful outcomes.
- Build collaborative partnerships with internal and external partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality outcomes.
- Improve operational efficiency by conducting reviews of existing processes and implementing strategic automation projects.
- Conduct performance attribution and reporting processes, ensuring accurate delivery of performance data and analysis.
What you bring:
- 1+ years of experience in the Asset Management industry, with a focus on middle/back-office functions, such as fund operations, fund accounting, or trade support.
- 1+ years of experience in information technology systems and processes, particularly VBA, C#, database management (SQL Server), Microsoft Office, and Bloomberg. Strong experience with developing innovative tools and solutions to enhance business.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science, or another related field.
- Experience with ’40 Act retail products including Exchange Traded Funds and Mutual Funds.
- Experience across diverse asset classes (fixed income, equities, and derivatives).
- Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI).
- You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require immigration sponsorship for visa status now or in the future (e.g. H1-B, L-1, TN, etc). If you are currently on CPT/OPT, you are ineligible due to the need for future immigration sponsorship.
