Accounting Operations Billing Associate

Job description
As Accounting Operations Billing Associate , you will report to the Head of Invoicing, Collection and Recovery, North America and provide support to the Accounting Operations department by managing the billing process.
This position follows a Hybrid schedule with two in-office days per week at our Cambridge, Ontario location.
Key responsibilities/What you will do:
· Upload daily, weekly, and monthly roster files into the accounting system.
· Prepare and send invoices to customers according to established schedules and terms.
· Review & correct financial data regularly to identify discrepancies or errors.
· Maintain and update accurate customer records in the accounting system.
· Serve as the point of contact for customers, addressing any inquiries regarding invoices and account status.
· Proactive manage delinquent accounts.
· generate commission payments for partners.
· Ensure timely and accurate cash collections from customers; Process and apply payments to customer accounts in a timely manner.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
What you will bring
· Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting or combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
· Two years’ experience working in a financial setting environment.
· Prior Billing or Accounting experience.
· Knowledge of large-scale accounting and business intelligence systems
· Strong attention to detail
· Proficiency with MS Excel
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels.
· Experience with Accounting Software (SAP would be a plus)
· Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.
· Proven ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude.
