Job description
THE ROLE
• Achieve portfolio objectives by managing brokers and maintaining, expanding, and renewing existing client relationships (directly or via broker)
• Maximize the renewal of the existing portfolio with specialized brokers, direct clients, and clients with non-specialized brokers
• Achieve premium rate change objectives and potentially restructure the policy for clients in the portfolio
- Maintain and develop satisfaction among clients and brokers
• Expand the entire portfolio by achieving extensions
• Build and strengthen relationships with both the broker and the client
• Ensure a profitable and qualitative client portfolio in the long term and identify new commercial opportunities to expand the client portfolio
MAIN TASKS
Achieve objectives for portfolio growth and quality
• Develop relationships with clients and brokers
• Negotiate policy conditions upon renewal with direct clients, clients via specialized and non-specialized brokers
• Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities
• Provide proactive service, such as client visits, welcome contacts with new clients, etc.
• Inventory client limit needs and coordinate with the Risk Department
• Seek solutions when problems arise
• Coordinate escalations
Take personal responsibility for implementing quality standards throughout the Group
• Serve existing brokers based on broker segmentation
• Serve client segments based on the Operational Manual
• Work closely with other core functions
• Apply commercial underwriting standards (MMCD rules) to ensure profitability and quality of the client portfolio
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Market Knowledge
• Expert market knowledge
• Ability to build an extensive network with close contacts with brokers, market players, and opinion leaders
Professional Knowledge
• Ability to create and convert leads for extensions
• Expert sales knowledge and negotiation skills
• Basic understanding and training in Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools
Interpersonal Skills
• Ability to collaborate with members of other core functions
• Ability to persuade clients during negotiations
• Ability to build and strengthen good relationships with clients and brokers
Language Skills
Very good knowledge (Fluent) of Dutch, French, English.
Salary
Due to the European Pay Transparency Directive, the salary range for the offered position is set between €60,500 gross and €90,500 gross.
The exact determination of the starting salary will depend on the evaluation of the candidate's profile in relation to the required qualifications.
