The Commercial division is Allianz Australia’s largest distribution channel whose customers include local, national and international brokers, and buying groups throughout Australia. We’re seeking an Account Manager to report to the Distribution Manager in NSW and help develop best in market relationships with an allocated panel of brokers.

You'll be responsible for
· Developing and managing relationships primarily by phone across the allocated broker panel, delivering sales and service excellence, including collaborating with Underwriting on the delivery and negotiation of underwriting solutions.
· Performing effective pipeline management to maximize new business strike rates and renewal retention to drive customer growth in preferred segments.
· Supporting the implementation of sales or go-to-market strategy and business plans to deliver effective and efficient sales operations and to achieve profitable growth targets across the allocated panel.
· Displaying market-leading sales behaviour by effectively using Salesforce and Teamwork sales tools.
· Gaining in-depth broker insight and finding alignment to grow Allianz areas of appetite.
· Identifying market and industry trends, understanding, and anticipating customer needs through business relationships and competitor analysis.
· Acting as a point of escalation for broker requests on commercial adjustments, issues, or complaints, evaluating available information and facilitating effective resolutions.
· Owning responsibility for the credit and debt position for the assigned panel of customers and brokers and working with Credit to address outstanding items.
· Participating actively in team meetings and activities and positively contributing to a high-performance culture.
About you
· Experience in the contemporary insurance business and understanding its key drivers.
· Proven sales ability, including effective business planning, negotiation skills, and the capacity to influence and persuade.
· Experience in the commercial lines of business or financial services is highly beneficial; applicants from a claims, account management, underwriting, account management or broking background would all be considered.
· Demonstrated enthusiasm and ability to optimize business value for customers by delivering high-quality services.
· Adeptness at proactively building and maintaining professional relationships to enhance industry positioning and achieve beneficial outcomes.
· Ability to identify potential issues, evaluate information, and deliver effective, customer-focused solutions.
· Skilled in planning and prioritizing effectively, managing competing resources and demands.
· Sound technical knowledge of relevant lines of insurance products and associated legislation.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting with clarity, impact, and influence.
· Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with diverse team members toward common goals.
