Electrical Contract Manager ( Luton )

Alecto Recruitment are currently representing a nationwide M&E Installation and Maintenance company, who have been delivering M&E services for over 35 years and now seeking an experienced Electrical Contract Manager to join their ever growing team.

With considerable experience in the complex servicing of Pharmaceutical / Production Cleanrooms, Laboratories, Government buildings and other complex, fast track, demanding building services projects, they have a proven track record and are a well established and secure company offering exceptional career prospects.

The Role:

As an experienced Electrical contracts manager, you will be tasked with working out of a new office in Luton, with works mainly commercial, ranging from 500k to 5M.

Area covered will be around the M25 area and inside London.

Duties will include:

  • Leading the operations of mechanical projects that they have on.
  • Conducting site surveys for electrical contracts and energy saving ideas, then using this information gained to produce quotations using estimation software.
  • Interface with clients positively and proactively to create and maintain good working relationships.
  • Manage projects including overviewing the mechanical services.
  • Ensure procurement is carried out in accordance with our better buying policies.
  • Work with finance and support teams to monitor costs and ensure invoicing is carried out on time.
  • Manage sub-contractors and engineers to ensure quality and safety standards are maintained and that our work is carried out on time.
  • Assist with our energy management requirements.

The Candidate:

To be considered for this position, attainments and attributes must include, but not be restricted to, the following:

  • 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • HNC/HND in Mechanical design

Attitude:

  • Is a self-starter.
  • Is positive in all dealings with the customers and staff.
  • Has a "can-do" approach to work and a willingness to learn and assist.

Communication

  • Communicating clearly both verbal and written using structure, grammar, language and terminology.
  • Uses IT software for presentation, calculation and communication.

Innovation / Continuous Improvement

  • Working closely with managers to identify creative and effective solutions to work situations that will deal with organisational challenges and opportunities.
  • Keeps up to date with latest technology and products, CPD etc.
