About the Role:
Are you a customer-oriented professional looking for a rewarding career? We're seeking a dedicated Customer Service Officer to join our team in Sunshine North, Melbourne on permanent full time basis. The Customer Service Representative is the primary internal contact for our customers. The position is expected to enhance our company's reputation through effective communication and advice. You will manage customer service, order processing, and problem-solving with a high degree of autonomy, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service.
In this dynamic role, you will:
* Efficiently manage order receipt, prioritising timely processing and maintaining positive customer interactions.
* Support the order-to-cash process, including processing credits and debits.
* Register and process customer orders in the ERP system received via email, phone, or other contact.
* Act as the first point of contact for customer inquiries and complaints.
* Gain adequate customer and product knowledge to find solutions for customer needs.
* Propose improvements in work processes to enhance efficiency and satisfaction.
* Conduct root cause analysis to identify and solve issues.
* Complete registering, filing, and archiving of customer service-related documentation.
* Focus on CRM in collaboration with the Regional Sales Excellence/CRM team.
* Operate flexibly and cooperatively as part of the Australasian team.
* Support the Regional Customer Experience Manager and other team members as needed.
* Adhere to all corporate and site policies/procedures regarding personal conduct and HS&E standards.
What we are looking for:
* Previous experience in customer service or administration.
* Strong computer and clerical skills. Proficiency in using ERP systems and other software would be highly advantageous.
* Customer-focused mindset, team orientation, and attention to detail.
* Ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues will be crucial.
* Initiative and adaptability to respond to changing priorities.
* Knowledge of Protective Coatings or Shipping Industry – would also be highly regarded.
