£21,000 - £26,000 per annum plus benefits

We're now looking for a Technologist II to join our Protective Coatings team based in Felling, Gateshead, on an 18 month contract.

Working at our R&D Centre in Felling, you will get involved in a range of projects. You will find yourself developing innovative new products and technologies and testing existing products and coating systems.

As you'd expect, the standard of experimental work and technological development is high. We'll look to you to successfully design, carry out, evaluate and interpret experiments under your own direction; plan, conduct and evaluate factory/pilot plant scale ups and other trials. Key will be the ability to work safely while following corporate procedures.

You must have a BSc in Chemistry or a related subject coupled with experience of working in a laboratory. You are eager to learn new skills, good at following set processes and operating safely. An effective communicator you work well as part of a team but are willing to take the initiative when needed. You will also be the sort of person who is passionate about excellence and delivers on commitments.
