AkzoNobel Surface Chemistry –has an outstanding opportunity for a Supply Chain/Purchasing Analyst. This Supply Chain/Purchasing Analyst will be responsible for gathering information, performing analyses, presenting options, and making recommendations across the Supply Chain functional areas and to management. The supply chain/purchasing function of BUSC is divided over three regions: EMEIA (Europe, Middle East, India and Africa), Asia-Pacific (South East Asia and China) and the Americas (North and South America), and further by market segment for supply chain and spend category for procurement. Effective networking with ISC, Sales, and Marketing functions of the BU as well as with ANS is a critical success factor.
Specific Tasks:
Supply Chain Analyst
· Responsible for gathering information, performing analyses, presenting options, and making recommendations across the Supply Chain functional areas and to management
· Present key supply/demand issues and trends, operational results, and outline specific Supply Chain objectives during quarterly sales/business meetings
· Back up the Tolling Coordinator and Tolling Manager duties when needed
· Support the Demand/Supply Managers in the monthly cross functional inventory review mtgs, including the preparation of material, facilitation of meeting, assignment and tracking of action items, and communication of progress and results
· Identify, lead, and implement Supply Chain processes
· Create, review, interpret company Supply Chain KPIs, monthly review PowerPoints, scorecards and report results; create and manage action plans to address those not meeting targets, Including OTIF, Delivery Capability, Forecast Accuracy, Inventory etc.
· Participate in OWC cost reduction projects as necessary
Purchasing Analyst
· Collect, collate, analyze and interpret spend information relevant to BU SC and its various global markets: past performance, forecasts and advice on opportunities for improvement in purchasing
· Key point of contact for all information and data related to purchasing
· Prepare RF/Budget indices, reporting savings initiatives, prepare monthly KPI reports and analyze payment terms
· Maintain price forecasting tool
· Key point of contact for procurement stream of AkzoNobel savings tracker tool (ANT)
· Maintain payment term performance reporting
· Produce input for monthly purchasing reporting to business (ABCD reports)
· Optimize and secure data validation of purchasing data in the BW systems (both local and ANS system) – key user local BW, focal point ANS BW
· Develop and maintain effective data-management tools, in coordination with IT/IM
· Provide training on the use of purchasing tools, reporting requirements and systems
· Assist in formulating key (raw) material strategies in consultation with the relevant commodity manager
· Provide information and consequences on changes in the raw material markets
· Support in the search of new suppliers, analysis of import/export statistics or the comparison of supplier proposals
Desired profile
· Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain & Logistics, Business, Economics, Engineering, Ops Managements, Finance or related discipline
· Minimum of two years of work experience, preferably in a commercial/international environment, with emphasis on demand/supply planning, production scheduling or a related SC field
· Solid understand of supply chain and business processes
· Hands-on MS Office skills, particularly with advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Access Database. SAP / BW experience an advantage
· Creative thinker, seeks solutions to problems and opportunities for improvement
· Good team player with communication skills – a good energetic networker who is able to win people's commitment and support
· Analytical and numerate, with commitment to accuracy and quality of data; diligence in seeking accurate and reliable source data CPIM certification or equivalency a plus
· Experience in Arkieva (Zemeter) Supply Chain software and SAP a plus
· Experienced and capable in multi-tasking, working on several subjects and projects at the same time and is a self-starter
