Our Decorative Paints business area adds color to people's lives with a full range of interior and exterior decoration and protection products for the trade and consumer markets. As authorities on color we aim to provide all our customers – from professional decorators to DIY enthusiasts – with a great color experience and a fantastic finish. Our range includes paints, lacquers and varnishes, as well as products for surface preparation (pre-deco products).

The Financial Planning & Analysis department of the Integrated Supply Chain Decorative Paints plays a key role in the financial planning process and the management reporting of the (non)financial results of the unit. Consolidating and understanding the results and forecasts of more than 35 countries on a monthly basis, and translating this into clear and value-adding reporting packs, forms the key task of the department. In parallel, we play a facilitating and coordinating role in the management process, amongst others through the maintenance and consolidation of BSC's and the creation and maintenance of specific EMEA wide reports. We have a supporting role in various ISC activities where financial input and challenges are requested, thereby assuring that decisions are made based on transparent, objective and economically sound grounds. Finally, as central function we coordinate and guard the product costing process across EMEA, the planning & budgeting as well as the internal control process for the ISC, and we play a role in guarding and improving the local reporting processes in the ISC (amongst others through the creation of guidelines and training material).

Desired profile

Internship
The ISC FPA team is looking for energetic and financially oriented interns looking for the opportunity to gain experience in a complex, dynamic and fast-paced planning and reporting environment. The key activities will include supporting the monthly reporting process through overhead cost control/analysis in SAP, consolidation of both quantitative & qualitative information (tables, graphs, key comments from the countries) in the monthly reporting packs, and timely publication of pre-defined reports for use in the monthly closing process. Depending on ongoing projects, you will support the development and validation of new systems, tools and reports, or will play a role in supporting other departments on various finance related topics.

The internship provides an ideal opportunity to ‘get to know' the workings of a large multinational in terms of planning and reporting practices, as well as gain hands-on experience in various systems (SAP, Business Warehouse, Hyperion) and in various (finance and supply chain related) topics. Please note that it is not possible to combine your thesis with this position.

Job requirements/Candidate profile
• You are a Bachelor (HBO) or Master student, studying for a Finance, Economic or related qualification
• You see it as a challenge and opportunity to operate in a fast-changing, data- and system-driven environment where frequent and active contacts with colleagues in different countries and departments is a given.
• You have affinity with figures & finance
• Experience with Microsoft Excel is a clear pre
• You have good communication skills in English

Duration of the internship will generally be between 6 and 12 month, and can be discussed. Place: Sassenheim, the Netherlands. Starting date: ASAP.
