Role: Telesales Consultant

Location: Bedford

Salary: £20,000 pa DOE plus uncapped commission

Benefits: 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays

Timing: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

My client is a leading provider of ecommerce marketplaces for businesses and suppliers. They are expanding their sales team and looking to hire talented individuals with current experience in B2B sales.

Telesales Consultant

The focus of this role is to proactively call suppliers to invite them to join the company’s Marketplaces. You will be expected to speak with decision makers and build a strong relationship and convert theses conversations into sales. You will be provided with the call data. Candidates should have exceptional experience in closing deals on daily basis. It’s all about building a relationship rather than calling 100s of businesses, although call targets and KPIs are used.

The company is looking for smart business hunters who are self motivated and able to spot an opportunity. You will covert prospects to sales and follow up with relevant documentation and collect payment by card. You will need to manage your diary, callbacks and your sales pipeline. Negotiation skills are vital for this role.

Key Accountabilities

  • Meeting KPI’s set by your manager
  • Maximise the proportion of leads received to live transacting suppliers
  • Maximise the average value of each sale by negotiating with suppliers using clear pricing guidelines
  • Process applications from suppliers quickly and efficiently whilst minimising the number of errors.
  • Use appropriate sales methodology in order to convert a variety of different lead types
  • Develop sales pipeline through cold calling, referrals and recommendations
  • Understand and review personal MI and use this to drive your own performance
  • Work as part of a sales team to achieve group target as well as individual target
  • Contribute towards positive working environment to ensure high morale and motivation
  • Contribute ideas to develop and implement changes to process and drive continuous improvement
  • Take responsibility for own personal development in line with KPIs and agreed objectives

Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of 12 months current and proven success with outbound B2B telesales OR Graduate with a relevant degree and work experience
  • Should be able to conduct a high quality sales negotiation over the telephone
  • Intuitive and natural approach to salesmanship, capable of selling through different styles and ability to sustain and convert a winning negotiation
  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills
  • Target driven with a track record of consistently hitting targets
  • Competent relationship builder with strong influencing skills
  • Negotiation skills coupled with financial acumen
  • Ability to work without supervision and as part of a small team, self starter
  • Innovative with the ability to spot and develop opportunities
  • Professional attitude, conduct and appearance
