This position is part of our Safety Business Unit, which aims to enable safer, greener and more inclusive industries and transportation systems.
Task description
·
Manage the parameters of mass and balance for a given H/C during development
·
Participate to the optimization of mission configuration strategy to enable decision-making and guaranty weight and balance status at each development milestones
·
Support offers department by delivering weight and balance diagrams, technical data and tenders, for usual and specific configuration. You will closely work with Predesign and Performance department, designers during system development, testing team, production and S&S directions
·
Contribute to H/C architecture trade off and predict H/C data before customer delivery
·
Improve weighting process and tools including predictive ones
·
Realize synthetic reports & project follow-up
·
Ensure dissemination of information within the group
·
Assumption of functional and/or project-related tasks in projects
·
Preparation of documentation and presentation of work results
Required qualifications
The job requires knowledge and skills that are usually acquired through a relevant, completed degree with a standard period of study of up to 4 years in the area of aeronautics and related subject-specific additional qualifications or through a relevant, completed degree with a standard period of study of more than 4 years with a degree or completed vocational training with a corresponding particularly extensive subject-specific additional qualification. The total required knowledge and experience may have been acquired in other ways.
Skills and competences
·
Practical knowledge and experience in the above mentioned areas
·
Experience in design/development and equipment integration (avionic, inboard, outboard) or structure stress are a good basis
·
Knowledge of stress calculation software Abaqus, Hypermesh, Samcef is beneficial
·
Knowledge and first experience with mass properties calculations in aeronautics would
·
Knowledge of helicopters, aircraft architecture, flight missions is a plus
·
Proficiency on design software CATIA V5
·
Knowledge and first experience in project management
·
Analytical and structured way of working
·
Strong in communication and great team player. Team spirit, positive and collaborative approach / relational ease
·
Proactivity and autonomy
·
German and English: advanced level, good level in French would be a plus
·
Synthesis and writing skills
·
Rigorness and organization skills
·
Willingness for business trips at home and abroad
Location
At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we support Airbus Helicopters in developing helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.
