VIE within Materials and Processes - Coatings department (d/f/m)

Definition VIE
The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function. We are looking for highly motivated graduates aged 18 to 28 years, who are citizens of the European Union (all E.U. nationals, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). Your location
At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

Your tasks and responsibilities

·  In compliance with REACh (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) regulations, hazardous substances must be eliminated, specifically requiring the replacement of the current corrosion primer.
·  Your Responsibilities:
·  Contribute to the evaluation and qualification of Cr-free alternative primers.
·  Coordinate the test program schedule and resources.
·  Manufacture necessary test samples.
·  Execute all required tests and analyze the results.
·  Prepare documentation
·  You will serve as the central point of contact, collaborating with the design office, production teams, the testing laboratory, and external paint suppliers.

 
Desired skills and qualifications

·  Preferably Master degree in aerospace engineering, material science, or similar.
·  Basic knowledge in the field of material testing.
·  English: business fluent.
·  German and French would be a plus.
·  Strong ability to work autonomously.
·  Excellent communication skills.
·  Proactively drive projects forward.
·  Practical, technical and organizational skills.
·  Ability to build up a network within AH and selected external entities (universities, companies).
