Description of the job
The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function.
We are looking for highly motivated graduates aged 18 to 28 years, who are citizens of the European Union (all E.U. nationals, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). Candidates meeting these criteria and interested in a VIE, please register before your 28th birthday on the website www.civiweb.com. For Airbus in Ottobrunn within the department Future Combat Air Systems FCAS Team we are looking for a VIE Support.
Start: 1 February 2019
Duration: 12 months
The Governments of France and Germany have revealed plans to develop the next generation of weapon systems for an entry into service in 2035 – 2040 in the frame of the Future Combat Air System program (FCAS).
Overall, FCAS defines a system of systems combining a wide range of elements connected and operating together, including a next generation fighter aircraft together with Medium-Altitude Long-Endurance Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), the existing fleet of aircraft (which will still operate beyond 2040), future cruise missiles and drones flying in swarms. The overall system will be interoperable and connected in a larger perimeter with mission aircraft, satellites, NATO systems and land and naval combat systems
In this context, your main activities as VIE FCAS Team will include:
Support FCAS Team in the following tasks;
· producing presentations for management.
· creating schedules and manage their day to day updates
· action tracking and preparing the programme information flow, (reporting) to FCAS stakeholders.
· Prepare meetings, ensure meeting protocol is professionally completed
· Support the writing of internal documentation.
· team player taking on additional projects on behalf of the FCAS team.
· Generate reports, supporting the FCAS team

Required skills
We are looking for candidates with the following skills:
· Studying for a Degree in Business administration, Engineering or similar
· Some experience in proposal development or project management
· Basic knowledge in business management, or project environment
· PM knowledge in projects
· Innovative, intrapreneurial and disruptive mind-set and vision to propose agile PM solutions and challenge the ways of working.
· Inter-cultural openness (experience in international co-operation programmes)
· Flexibility (work in evolving and changing environment, ready to travel and in multinational teams)
· Microsoft Office skills are essential, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
· French and English: negotiation level. Good German skills would be an advantage
· You want to learn actively and be part of a growing team.
· You are interested in European matters & Defense topics (doctrine, policy, programs)
You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently.
