Description of the job

A vacancy for a Technical Services Engineer (Power Plant) has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Brize Norton.

The Technical Services Engineer will Provide on-site Technical Service support to the Part M CAMO in ensuring the continued airworthiness of a customer's fleet of A400M aircraft with regard to Powerplant, APU and associated systems. The job holder will support the customer with EIS (Entry Into Service) of the A400M and transition to the day to day support of the aircraft beyond EIS and throughout the aircraft service life and support the customer's Part M CAMO as the interface between Airbus Defence and Space, Regulators and the customer´s maintenance and operational organizations.

The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Responsibility for all Engine and Powerplant related aspects of the A400M fleet.
·  Assess technical documentation from the OEM, STC and TC holder, and Regulators for applicability to the A400M fleet.
·  Develop Engineering Orders, and Instructions to enable the Part 145 organisation to perform the necessary inspections or modifications.
·  Manage Engine Trend data, Oil Consumption, Engine Damage/defects, reports, and aircraft data downloads.
·  Provide on-site technical assistance, research and liaison with all stakeholders to provide adequate responses to technical queries.
·  Develop and maintain local procedures, technical and working instructions as required.
·  Provide support as required to the on-site Technical Services team, Part 145 and the customer organisation as required.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Engineering Degree, or EASA Part 66 B1 licence or evidence of adequate experience of Powerplant management in a Technical Services capacity, or in depth experience of A400M Engine and Powerplant systems.
·  Detailed knowledge of modern Powerplant / Propeller Propulsion Systems
·  Detailed knowledge of EASA Part M regulatory procedures.
·  Knowledge of Airbus and Engine associated technical information and documentation.
·  The ability to compile and evaluate comprehensive technical reports as required.
·  Detailed knowledge of A400M Powerplant systems would be an advantage.
·  Knowledge of Engine Trend data analysis would be an advantage
