What you will be doing:

This role will give the successful candidate the opportunity to work with experienced safety professionals across Airbus and to influence the strategy to improve the safe use of a wide range of industrial equipment. It also includes working with various local production teams made up of Operations, Manufacturing Engineering and Safety to develop and deploy project plans to realise these improvements across the Broughton plant.

During this placement, the activities you may undertake will also include:

· 
Developing and leading projects in line with sustainability and environmental regulations, such as the Green Deal;

· 
Providing cost estimations, consolidations, analysis, operational planning, and monitoring for relevant projects and initiatives;

· 
Managing all aspects of projects, including contracting, documentation, action plans, reporting, and risk and opportunity assessments;

· 
Implementing sustainability and environmental governance and target cascading in collaboration with stakeholders (Sites, Functions, and Plant Leaders);

· 
Ensuring proper execution of risk and opportunity assessments;

· 
Advocating for safety & sustainability, fostering lasting connections across the Airbus Plant, and inspiring and engaging colleagues;

· 
Communicating sustainability and environmental achievements internally and across digital platforms;

· 
Working alongside the Industrial Maintenance EHS Manager on technical, behavioral and cultural improvements;

· 
Working with Industrial Maintenance teams to implement transnational best practices in various production environments;

· 
Engaging with experienced safety professionals across Airbus to enhance the safe use of a wide range of industrial equipment;

· 
Collaborating with local production teams, including Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, and Safety, to develop and execute project plans aimed at improving safety across the Broughton plant.

Requirements:

Our placements are open to Undergraduates only . Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

· 
Studying towards a degree in Manufacturing, Production Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environment, or equivalent;

· 
Familiarity with Google Suite or Microsoft tools;

· 
Ability to think strategically and translate improvement practices into local project plans;

· 
Ability to build business cases to justify any expenditure required to deliver the improvement projects;

· 
Collaborates well within a team, including working with a transnational team;

· 
A good communication style to engage and influence people from different functions.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance OR You will be subject to a BPSS check (including a criminal record check).
