Airbus Helicopters in Donauwoerth is looking for a Strategic Buyer (m/f) for Displays within the area “Strategic Procurement / CLF Avionics” for the department “EPVA - AFCS & Displays”.

Tasks & accountabilities
Your main tasks will include:
· Leading contract negotiations with suppliers for the development, series production and maintenance (support) with the help of the Commodity Lead Buyers, in particular for Thales Avionics suppliers
· Optimising profits and reducing costs within a supplier portfolio for the respective projects in the civil or military helicopter field, and leading the corresponding negotiations for these cost-optimisation programmes
· Ensuring fulfilment of supplier milestones for ongoing development projects (new developments, redesign)
· Leading contract negotiations for Service Level Agreements for the commercial helicopter programmes, taking into account support requirements
· Defining and continuously monitoring and developing a competitive global supplier portfolio for Airbus Germany (including the organisation and execution of calls for tender) for the respective sub-commodity, such displays for helicopters
· Improving OTD (On Time Delivery) and OTI (On Target Inventory) in negotiation with suppliers
· Managing Supply Chain risks
· Working on and producing product and procurement strategies and assisting with the implementation of the Product Sourcing Strategies (PSS) within the Commodity; taking part in or leading multi-functional teams (MFT)
· Performing supplier management and supplier development activities, including supplier evaluations (SED)
· Managing the dollar risk, offset obligations and export control
· Providing support to AHD subsidiaries for their negotiations
· Coordinating with buyers in France
· Consolidating and producing reports on the procurement performance of the Commodity
Required skills
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and skills:
· University degree in Business Economics or similar
· Several years of practical experience in sales, marketing and/or procurement
· Experience in leading contract negotiations
· Good knowledge of MS Office and SAP
· Technical understanding of avionics systems and/or systems and equipment would be a plus
· Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to establish long-term relations with suppliers
· German: advanced level
· English: fluent/negotiation level
· Knowledge of French would be a plus
