LOCATION: Stevenage or Portsmouth

You will design and develop software products for the vehicle functions and data management (networks, avionics and open platforms) matching the required safety, quality and performance levels according to Airbus systems engineering processes and the needs of our customers

How You Will Contribute To The Team

·  Technical lead the software development team from the design to the validation phase and responsible for the quality of the deliverables (software and associated documentation) 
·  Concept creation for software changes and new development implementation based on the project context and applicable document (Development Plan, System Requirements Specification, Architecture Design Document, Validation Plan, Verification Plan, …)
·  Coordinator in all phases of a SW life cycle process, from the creation of requirements to the acceptance of a SW solution following internal processes
·  Responsible of the definition of the development planning in compliance with the milestones of the roadmap
·  Responsible of the technical consistency of the development and validation endorsing the fact it is complete from the Requirement Baseline to unit and integration tests and compliant with standards and processes
·  Close coordination with the Software Delivery Manager and Lead Solution Architect
·  Participation in the creation of unit & (sub) system integration tests and hardware/software integration tests 

About You

·  Proven ability to technically lead a team of software developers and work with customers to deliver against strict processes and plans.
·  A good understanding of software and the software development lifecycle including configuration management tools and techniques, to be able to provide effective oversight.
·  The ability to understand requirements and available design solutions so that you can produce accurate and cost effective estimates of work to be undertaken.
·  Proficient in software design and development in a resource constrained/embedded environment using UML, C or C++ in linux environment
·  Experience of software integration, performance test and debug at the hardware level when dealing with complex systems
·  Ideally experience in Space/On board Software environment and associated process
